CTE Ceramic Brake Rotors Size (400x38mm)(D90) 20" Wheel Required
Using just the best raw materials combined with the latest manufacturing technology ProMod Performance is happy to offer these carbon ceramic brake rotors.
ProMod Performance is an authorised CTE dealer for these ceramic brake disc conversions.
This is a listing for a pair of (400x38mm)(D90) Ceramic Brake Rotors With Hats.
These Require At Least 20" Wheels To Be Installed.
Please be extra careful when sending specs as these rotors cannot be returned.
If you are ordering a Custom/Universal Disc and know the EXACT Disc Size that you require, please include your Vehicle Model and required PCD and Offset in your Order Notes as we require this to make your custom bell.
All CTE Carbon Ceramic Brakes use our Patented M8 Fastener Technology. If you are ordering the Disc Only (i.e Without Bell), our fasteners will be included alongside a Technical Diagram for the Disc.
Carbon Ceramic Brakes will only work effectively with large Racing Callipers due to the required friction surface area on the brake pads.
Typically, this covers all OEM/Aftermarket 6-Pot Callipers and some OEM/Aftermarket 4-Pot Callipers (with minimum 30mm OEM Disc Thickness)
Carbon Ceramic Brakes can ONLY be used with CCB-Friendly (Carbon Ceramic) Brake Pads.
If you do not know which CCB-Friendly Brake Pads you can use with your Calliper, please Contact Us BEFORE ordering.
If the relevant CCB-Friendly Brake Pad (OEM or Aftermarket) is not available for your Calliper, there is a high chance you will be required to upgrade your Callipers as well. Please Contact Us and we will check availability.
The Discs
Lightweight
Compared to traditional metal brake discs, carbon ceramic brake discs are up to 70% lighter.
High Strength
Using long-fibre materials, the strength is about five times greater than that of more traditional and common short-fibre materials that are available on the market today. Capable of withstanding greater impact pressure and less prone to damage compared to more traditional discs.
Durability
The wear rate of carbon ceramic brakes is much slower than the traditional metal brakes and can withstand hot temperatures / extreme pressures for longer, therefore giving better performance for longer periods whilst also reducing the frequency of replacing the discs, and giving you the benefit of not only an increase in breaking performance but also reducing your costs long term.
Reduced Dust
Metal brakes produce large amounts of brake dust during use which can be a nightmare to clean off and maintain the quality of your wheels. With Carbon Ceramics this is no longer a problem with dramatically reduced brake dust on your wheels keeping them shining for longer.
Floating Disc Design
Our Carbon Ceramic brake system adopts a floating disc design, combined with a floating block patent which can reduce disc deformation/vibration during braking and improve not only the braking performance but also durability.
CTE
The ONLY brake manufacturer in the world actively pursuing TUV certification of Carbon Ceramic Brake Discs. Whilst it is mandatory for regular Iron discs to be TUV certified, this does not currently apply to Carbon Ceramic Brake Discs (i.e Your expensive supercar may not have fully certified brakes)
CTE Carbon Ceramic Brake Discs can be resurfaced approx. 3-4 times over the lifespan of the disc, equivalent to having an "as new" disc each time
Designed for use with OE Callipers, CTE Racing Callipers and select Aftermarket Callipers
The ONLY brake manufacturer in the world to offer 290mm & 330mm fitments (for 15"/16"/17" wheels)
